We are delighted to announce that Once Upon a Smile has been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to further our vital work supporting bereaved children and their families across Greater Manchester and beyond.
This grant will enable us to continue to deliver our tailored support at Sidley House, our dedicated bereavement centre, which provides a safe and welcoming space for children to express their emotions, build resilience, and receive the specialist support they need.
Daniel Jillings, co-founder and CEO of Once Upon a Smile, shared:
“We are incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund and to all the players of The National Lottery. This support will allow us to reach more children and families, ensuring they receive the emotional and practical help they need at such a difficult time in their lives.”
Once Upon a Smile is the only child bereavement charity in the North West with a dedicated centre for children-designed by children with lived experience. This funding will support children and their families, offering them the compassion and care they deserve.
